In my opinion it was over priced as other TAs have written about the other food vendors here, and the Tinned player was not very generous in portion. It had a small tin of tuna in oil with 3 grilled small pieces of bread, some jam, small peppers, butter, and 3 salts that we never used. Their Signature Tinned Seafood Plater with yellow fin tuna was $25. At Saltie Girl, the cashier was not helpful and because it’s so loud and noisy we couldn’t hear well. We decided to try Saltie Girl after walking in circles a few times. If you’re not a real foodie, up on the latest foods and terms, it will take quite a while to make a choice. At Row 34, the lobster rolls are just like what chef/owner Jeremy Sewall’s grandmother, Ethel, used to make. It’s hard to choose from the many vendors, not because of the food differences but because of the descriptions on the menus. Many were sitting outside maybe because of the loudness? The dough was nice and pleasantly heavier than most.īefore Zac Brown concert at Fenway, this is a short walk from the park. They use quality ingredients inside and out. The chips were seasoned with salt and spice seasonings. The fish and the Tartar sauce were wonderful. My wife had fish and chips from Salty Girl. This is amazing to get Peter’s food in this casual setting. See my picture of the dish and the whole pork belly. The glaze and belly were unbelievably Delicious. I followed that with the pork belly ssam lettuce wraps. It had white beans and peas and lettuce. The dressing was grilled lemon vinaigrette. Here he makes larger portions of similar dishes to the original restaurant. We came specially to “The Tasting Counter” It is Peter Lugar’s casual version of his incredible restaurant “Tasting Counter”. We look forward to going back and experiencing different choices at Time Out Market. The other diners we sat with chose fish and chips from Saltie Girl’s (so-so) and Italian from Michael Schlow’s (excellent). The food service is cafeteria, though, so expect to hang around waiting for a while. We were not bothered by the cafeteria-like seating the people we ended up eating with were delightful! (Our experience might have been totally different if we had had to wander around for a long time looking for a place to sit or if our dining companions had been awful.) The one aspect we weren’t thrilled about was how one gets his/her drink: you pay where you buy your food, but you get the drink from one of the two bars set up at the ends of the seating area. Time Out Market Boston: Great variety of food, but noisy and gray - See 69 traveler reviews, 115 candid photos, and great deals for Boston, MA, at Tripadvisor. (We were there at dinnertime during the week it might be louder or crazier at other times.) The options are diverse and interesting enough that every diner should be able to find something to satisfy the palette. We found the Town Market to have a nice vibe ~ high energy but not overwhelmingly so.
